Mario Angelov – Ostinato para piano

Ostinato is a short piece in rhythms and tunes that come from Bulgarian folklore and combined with brilliant virtuosity.

Mario Angelov is a chamber performer, accompanist and soloist with an active presence in Bulgarian concert life. He is also known for uncompromising pianistic artistry in performances throughout Europe and Asia and widely recognized as an interpreter of 20^th century music. At present Mario Angelov is a pianist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio.

Concert piece for trombone quartet

The piece was written in 1999 for AKWI Trombone Quartet and was premiered at "Musica Nova 2000" Festival. This one movement virtuoso piece lasts about 8 minutes and is written for three tenors and a bass trombone. Quasi tonal melodies are combined with typical Bulgarian rythms and rich harmonic language of late 20th century.
